Spatial Imaging SPOT Annual ORTHO-SAT® (since 2013)
Description
The product “Space Imagery SPOT” has been providing a mosaic of satellite images at 1.5 m of spatial resolution on metropolitan territory every year and since 2014. The SPOT images, freely accessible to institutional actors and perfectly superimposed at the RGE, allow regular monitoring of the evolution of landscapes. They provide researchers and managers of public policies for environmental planning and monitoring with up-to-date and accurate information on land use (infrastructure sites, energy production facilities, logging, etc.). The SPOT vintages complement the IGN aerial covers, which are more detailed but less frequent, and the Sentinel-2 images, less accurate but more frequent. The product “Space Imagery SPOT” is provided by the IGN and funded by CIRAD, CNES, CNRS, IGN, IRD, IRSTEA and the GEOSUD project.
