Description
Difference in soil suitability between different sandy soils for bulb cultivation: The EIA plan tests 10 interventions, including the ‘Search area for bulb cultivation in the Kop van Noord-Holland (No 10). The assessment in the EIA takes place on the basis of the three main themes Climate resilience, Spatial quality and Sustainable use of space. Because flower bulbs fall under the group of so-called high netting crops, there are more possibilities to adjust any less favourable conditions. For example, unfavourable soils can still be made suitable for the cultivation of flower bulbs through deep tillage (deep-pitting).
