Description
Annual wintering monitoring reports for certain endangered waterbird species in Andalusia for the period 2012-2022. Information accessible to the general public and elaborated within the work developed by the Emergency Program, Epidemiological Control and Monitoring of Wildlife of Andalusia.
The wintering waterbird census is conducted in mid-January on an international scale in the Western Palearctic (International Wintering Waterbird Census), coordinated by Wetlands International. This period is considered to be of maximum stability for waterfowl populations in wintering localities, allowing a reliable estimation of the size of the populations of the different species and their temporal variations at local and global levels.
