Description
In order to manage the groundwater, the Flemish subsoil is divided into several three-dimensional units: groundwater bodies. Within these groundwater bodies, environmental objectives are tested and, if necessary, measures are imposed. BEVLS_A0600_1 - Ledo Paniseliaan Brusselian south, not closed. Content: deposits of the Ledo Paniseliaan Brusselian Aquifer system A0600 and of the above-mentioned Quaternary Aquifer systems A0100 not belonging to overlying groundwater bodies, and islands of the Kempens Aquifer system A0200 and the Oligocene Aquifer system A0400. The bodies of groundwater have both a name and a code. This code starts with an abbreviation of the Member State and the Region (BEVLM_A0200_2 = Belgium, Flanders), followed by the letter "S" or "M", indicating that a groundwater body is situated in the Scheldt or Meuse river basin district (BEVLM_A0200_2 = Meuse). The numerical code refers to the HCOVv2 code, which corresponds to the main aquifer (BEVLM_A0200_2 = Kempens Aquifer system). A sequential number at the end indicates the further spatial division of the groundwater bodies into that aquifer (BEVLM_A0200_2 = second groundwater body in the Meuse river basin district of which the Kempens Aquifer system is the most important aquifer).
