ICEARAGON Data Catalog Web Service (CSW)
Description
The Catalog Service for the Web (CSW) service is defined by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) in order to define the interfaces for the recovery, capture and query of metadata about the data itself. It allows the search of geographical information of diverse origins and varied themes so that the user can locate geographical information using the operations enabled for that purpose. The standard defines five basic operations: GetCapabilities, DescribeRecord, GetRecords, GetRecordsBy and GetDomain.
The integration of the ICEARAGON CSW service can be done both from Web environments and from GIS clients, both commercial and free software.
