Description
This map of the benthic habitats of Ile aux Dames and Térénez (Morlaix area) is made as part of the Benthic Monitoring Network (REBENT). It was developed using coastal orthophotographs 2000, infrared orthophotographs, field validation campaigns between 2008 and 2009 and additional data from previous work. The combined analysis of these data makes it possible to map the distribution of habitats at a given time. All data are integrated into an environmental database. The habitat typology selected for mapping is derived from the New Benthic Marine Habitat Typology Proposals — Guillaumont B. et al., 2009.
