[DREAL OCCITANIA] Zoning of clay-stressed soils
Description
Area with clay stress of the Occitanie region, perimeter relating to the decree dated 21/12/2018 of the Regional Action Programme against pollution by nitrates of agricultural origin.
Farmers with islets in the clay-stressed area may derogate from the obligation to cover long intercultures. As compensation, they have an obligation to cover at least 25 % of the surface area, to set up vegetated strips along all rivers, and to provide a post-harvest nitrogen balance.
The zoning established in 2014 has been renewed. It was obtained through expert work based on the large morphopedological ensembles of the Midi-Pyrénées region.
