This file contains the Lauwersmeer National Park as established in the Environment Vision province Groningen 2016-2020.
The Lauwersmeer National Park is the only National Park in our province. It is also Natura 2000 site. The State is expected to finalise the Natura 2000 management plan Lauwersmeer in 2016. The provinces of Fryslân and Groningen will then carry out their implementation.
We want to strengthen the recreational possibilities of Lake Lauwers. There is an implementation programme for this. In this we work together with our local partners to make the National Park more polite for hikers, cyclists, birdwatchers, fishermen and water sports enthusiasts.
