Description
The focus of the Family Residential Index is on the aspect of housing as much as on the aspect of family. It is not a pure family index, but it contains other indicators that point to the living environment:
Youth quotient, average number of rooms per apartment, average household size, proportion of family households, cars per household.
The Family Residential Index can better indicate structural family living areas than the pure share of family households, as families often move in their founding phase.
Result of factor analysis: Quantiles of the estimated coefficients for factor scores by means of regression analysis (factor calculation based on 3-year mean)
