HUMID DOMINANT AREAS

Description

The delimitation of the ‘wet-dominant areas’ of the Artois-Picardie basin by photointerpretation, in 2008, has several purposes: - improve knowledge: preparation of an initial balance sheet (reference state of the ZDH of the basin) enabling the evolution of these areas to be monitored; - be a planning and knowledge support for the Agency and its partners; - be an internal and external communication tool in terms of information and awareness-raising; - be a decision-making tool for local authorities; - provide a framework for drawing up more precise inventories (delimitation provided for by law) DTR and National Core Information). Its use must be limited to the 1/50.000th and smaller.
