Description
There are data on flooding areas in accordance with Section 76(2) of the Water Resources Act.
WATCH OUT! When using the data, it should be borne in mind that the cards belonging to the respective legal ordinance or the decision or temporary security are legally binding. These can be consulted at the Lower Water Authority of the competent district as well as at the Upper Water Authority in TLUBN, Ref. 52.
The flood zones are determined by the Upper Water Authority by Ordinance (RVO). The description of the area flooded in the event of floods shall be based on at least one flood event expected on average once in 100 years.
Until the flood zones have been determined by statutory decree, the identified, mapped and provisionally secured (VS) flood zones (Section 76(3) of the Water Budget Act) shall apply.
In addition, the flood zones defined under previous law, which were also referred to as “transmitted resolutions of the GDR” (BK), are considered flood zones (§ 54(3) ThürWG).
The flooding area shall also include the site between above-ground waters and dikes or floods, as well as areas that are claimed for flood relief or retention in the event of floods of dams, without any need to be established.
