Description
The activities of the “Banque de Géologie Marine” (BGM) meet the mission of inventorying data concerning the nature of the national subsoil, entrusted to the BRGM under the Minier Code and extended to the French marine domain. This activity is funded by a Public Service endowment. The BGM represents 1,200 offshore campaigns that gather 55000 reconnaissance points by dredging or coreing, including geological sections and rock and sediment analyses. 7,000 of these points were sampled stored in the National Lithotheque des E Samillons Marins (LINEM).
