##Lower ranges
The Helsinki region consists of four municipalities in the Helsinki metropolitan area: Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen, and ten surrounding municipalities: Hyvinkää, Järvenpää, Kerava, Kirkkonummi, Mäntsälä, Nurmijärvi, Pornainen, Sipoo, Tuusula and Vihti. In addition, there is information about the whole country. The Helsinki region is a housing and labour market area.
##Target set and cropping
The employed labour force includes all persons aged 15 to 74 who, during the last week of the year, were in gainful employment and were not unemployed jobseekers at an employment office or performing military or non-military service. Information on employment is based on data from the earnings-related pension and tax authorities.
A person's line of business is determined by the line of business of his or her workplace. Everyone working at the same place of work receives the same field of activity regardless of their occupation. The industrial classification is in accordance with Statistics Finland's Standard Industrial Classification (TOL) 2008.
