Noise zones for heavy weapons in the Armed Forces shooting and rehearsal field

The data set contains noise zones from the Armed Forces shooting and rehearsal fields where heavy weapons are used, i.e. weapons systems other than small arms. These are more noisy weapons, which are in use in the largest of the Armed Forces’ shooting and rehearsal fields. The noise zones in the dataset represent all military activity in the fields, including the use of military vehicles and shooting outside fixed stands. The noise zones are a combination of T-1442 noise limits and noise limits enshrined in a permit for activities pursuant to the Pollution Control Act or similar regulation (equivalent to red zone), with a buffer (equivalent to yellow zone).
