DGMWSV — Digit. Terrain models WSV (DGMWSV05)
Description
Digital terrain models (DGMs) describe the terrain surface (relief) by the spatial coordinates of a representative set of irregularly arranged terrain points. The DGM data are available in XYZ data format (ASCII) and are summarised in blocks in the sheet section of the German Base Map 1:5,000. They have a tile size of 2 km x 2 km. The geometric accuracy is ± 0.25 m in position (XY) and ± 0.10 m in height (Z). Depending on the point density (DGM-05), the data volume of the XYZ file (ASCII) is between 1-5 MB per block.
