Prevalence of recreational fishing in 2007
Description
The dataset is an estimate of the prevalence of recreational fishing in the sea area by estimating the starting points of fishermen and the typical distance travelled. Only existing spatial data sets have been used to produce it, and field verification has not been carried out. The results obtained are classified as reasonable in categories 1 (recreational fishing very low) to 5 (recreational fishing very common). The data was produced by Metsähallitus (2007) and compiled in connection with the Interreg IIIB-funded BALANCE project.
