Description
As part of the transboundary environmental impact assessment procedure for the extension of the Temelin nuclear power plant, an expert opinion on the Environmental Impact Statement (EIA) was prepared by the Austrian Energy Agency and the Austrian Ecology Institute on behalf of the BMLFUW. The Federal Environment Agency supervises the procedure in terms of content and organisation. The technical opinion presents the extent to which the requirements for the EIA to be submitted by the project applicant ČEZ, as defined in accordance with the position of the Czech Ministry of the Environment, have also been met. The potential cross-border effects of the project were analysed as a matter of priority.
