REDIAM. WMS HIC 92A0-0 Arboreal malls and willows
Description
WMS service corresponding to Habitat of Non-Priority Community Interest 92A0-0 characterized by riparian, arboreal or shrub vegetation, dominated by willows (Salix sp.), white poplars (Populus alba) or elms (Ulmus minor). While the latter two appear as dense riparian cords, usually forming gallery forests on the margins of watercourses, willow trees are usually presented as shrub vegetation of primecolonizing character, being located inside or very close to the channel, although, for example, in Carici Camposii-Salicetum atrocinereae it also appears in arboreal form. In general, these communities host a high number of invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles, mammals and breeding birds, both wintering and migrating.
