LGRB-BW ISONG: Area with case-by-case assessment
Description
Due to the spatially changing geological conditions, there is no reliable knowledge of the subsurface for the tectonic highly disturbed areas of the edge floes of the Upper Rhine Trench or the Vorbergzone. Therefore, reliable prognostic drilling profiles over the rock sequence under the quaternary (or under the tertiary) cannot be created for this area. It cannot be ruled out that anhydrite will be found without the presence of plaster. Due to the associated risks of land damage, a case-by-case examination of geothermal probe projects by the approval authority (Environmental Office of the respective city or district) is required. The result of the audit may be that the implementation of the project is not possible or only possible up to a certain depth. Isong’s location assessment is not up-to-date for the area shown.
