Description
Data on the administrative and settlement distribution in Estonia come from the land cadastre. The database contains spatial shapes of counties, local governments, settlement units and their associated names, types and codes (EHAK - Classification of Administrative and Settlement Divisions of Estonia). In the case of land, the boundary is the coastline (from the Estonian topographic database), the state border (the agreement on the restoration of the state border between the Republic of Estonia and the Republic of Latvia and the temporary control line between the Republic of Estonia and the Russian Federation).
