Livestock units and methane emissions
Description
This map layer shows the number of livestock units (LU) and methane emissions in kilotonnes per year per sub-area from the Zuid-Hollands Programma Landelijk Gebied.
The calculation of the LU is based on the animal numbers specified in the Basic Registration of Agricultural Holdings (BAB) and a multiplication factor specific to the animal group in question. Methane emissions have been calculated on the basis of a publication by Wageningen University and Research (WUR): https://research.wur.nl/en/publications/scenario-study-to-goals-and-goal-realisation-in-the-framework-of-it
