Green ribbons monitoring landscape
Description
This file contains green ribbons that are part of the Landscape Monitor. These green ribbons are monitored every four years. The status of the green ribbons is determined by aerial comparison. The aim is to gain insight into, among other things, the effectiveness of the policy to preserve the landscape, including the green ribbons.Green ribbons are those parts of the road villages where the image is dominated by a combination of road planting and pendulum gardens, which give the road village a green character. It is sometimes referred to as a tunnel forest. Slingertuinen are gardens in English landscape style, which appear as a front garden for monumental farms in East Groningen, Central Groningen and Northeast Groningen. Parts of road villages where these plantations occur are indicated on map 6a of the environmental ordinance. This file is related to the file of monumental heirs of Copijn carried out in Northeast Groningen, the inventory of Boerenerven in the Oldambt and the other heirs with pendulum gardens inventoried by Landschapsbeheer Groningen.
