REDIAM. WMS HIC 92D0-0 Adelfares and tarajales (Nerio-Tamaricetea)

Description

WMS service corresponding to Habitat of Non-Priority Community Interest 92D0-0 characterized by shrub plant formations occupying watercourses of low flow, such as ramblas, rivers and Mediterranean streams, whose current is intermittent and irregular. These courses are typical of warm climates, producing a strong evaporation in them and therefore, a certain accumulation of salts. The communities that develop in these courses are generally large bushes, such as oleanders, dominated by oleander (Nerium oleander), or tarajales in which one or more species of taraje predominate (Tamarix africana, T. galica, T. canariensis, T. boveana ...). The tarajales are the formations that support a greater continentality and height. There are also brambles, dominated by the bramble (Rubus ulmifolius). In this riparian ecosystem, constituted by the watercourse and its associated vegetation, reptiles such as the leprous galapagus (Mauremys leprosa) or the water snake (Natrix sp.) take refuge. It also serves as a refuge for amphibians, highlighting the presence of the common frog (Rana perezi), as well as mammals, case of the gin itself (Genetta genetta) or small rodents. Finally, it is worth noting the presence of small birds, which use the thick branches of these formations to nest. Node of the Andalusian Environmental Information Network. Regional Government of Andalusia. Integrated in the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Andalusia, following the guidelines of the Cartographic System of Andalusia.
