3D models of the German North Sea - Depths maps and layer thickness maps in the Quaternary 3D submodel
Description
The Quaternary 3D submodel consists of the stratigraphic subunits Holocene and Pleistocene. The respective base surfaces of the stratigraphic subunits were modeled. The base horizon of the Holocene deposits is available for download for the coastal area as well as for the offshore area in the form of a depth map (in m below sea level). Since in the coastal area the depth of the Holocene deposits corresponds to the actual thickness, a separate thickness map was only produced for the offshore area. For the base horizon of the Pleistocene deposits, both a depth map (in m below sea level) and a layer thickness map (in m) were created. All surfaces are available for download as GIS shape files and GOCAD® objects.
