Wohnatlas Berlin - Change in the number of benefits received according to SGB II 2012-2017
Description
At the level of the forecast areas, the change in the share of persons in communities of need in the total population in the period 2012 to 2017 is shown.
At the end of 2017, 14.3% of Berlin's inhabitants lived in communities of need according to the Social Code II (SGB II), compared to 16.3% at the end of 2012. This represents a decrease of two percentage points.
The largest declines (from a high level) were recorded in the forecast areas Kreuzberg-Nord (-7.1 percentage points) and Neukölln (-5.4 percentage points). In only nine forecast areas, there were increases or an unchanged share. The strongest increases were recorded in Hohenschönhausen Süd (+1.4 percentage points) and Mariendorf (+0.7 percentage points).
