Description
Distribution mapping of wild bird species responds to the legal obligation of the Commission to regularly assess progress in the implementation of the Directives, based on monitoring and reporting by Member States.
Measures taken under the Birds Directive (Directive 2009/147/EC) aim at the long-term conservation of wild bird species through measures to conserve, maintain and restore the diversity of wild birds and the area of their habitats.
