Regional Coordinators - Areas
Description
Arriving and settling in Dresden are not easy tasks for asylum seekers. They must adapt within a short time to the German culture and the norms and values, rights and obligations applicable here. For those who have been living in Dresden for a long time, it means adapting to new neighbors, getting to know them and letting them participate in life in the city society.
In order to better coordinate and shape co-operation, five regional coordination bodies have been set up. The tasks of the regional coordinators are:
- Organize sponsorships and neighbourhood work
- Networking with regional initiatives (e.g. welcome initiatives), companies and volunteers
- Cooperation with local authority or district councils, district management, regional companies and labour market partners.
