Environmental vision - Green development zone
Description
The province wants to enable the development of function combinations of nature with other functions when these contribute substantially to strengthening the ecological coherence of the nature of the Gelders Natuurnetwerk (GNN) and of the landscape and cultural-historical qualities present. The Green Development Zone (GO) consists of areas with a different destination than nature that is spatially intertwined with the Gelders Nature Network. This mainly concerns agricultural land, but also areas for residential and day recreation, infrastructure, homes and businesses. Meadow bird areas and Goose foraging areas are also part of the Green Development Zone. These are not in the Gelders Natuurnetwerk. The update plan was adopted by the Provincial Council on 19 December 2018.
