Bike+ride facilities, covered
Description
Many people in Dresden have to travel long distances every day to get to work. Growing commuter flows to and from Dresden significantly increase inner-city traffic and thus burden the environment, the road network and parking spaces.
In order to defuse the situation, Park+Ride systems were put into operation in Dresden. There are covered bicycle parking facilities at stops of the S-Bahn and Regionalbahn, end points of tram lines and other public transport stops. There, the bike can be connected weather-protected and the journey can be continued by public transport.
