Description
In 1990, the Canton of Freiburg developed the VALTRALOC concept (Valorisation des espaces routiers en Traversée de LOCalités) for the upgrading of the local transits. The VALTRALOC projects help to optimally harmonise the interests of residents on the one hand and the mobility and security needs of urban areas by adapting the road space (traffic calming measures and upgrading the public space) in a situation-oriented manner.
