Description
Expert statement on the environmental impact study for the Paks II nuclear power plant. In the district of Tolna, near the town of Paks, about 100 km south of Budapest, on the right bank of the Danube is the only Hungarian nuclear power plant (NPP Paks). At the Paks NPP site, two additional reactor units are planned to generate 1,200 MW each for 60 years. The commercial operation of the new units is planned from 2025 and 2030 respectively.
