Register of State Borders
Description
The data set contains attribute data on border posts. These are marked at the borders with Italy, Austria and Hungary (physically on the ground — milestones) and unmarked (breakpoints). Border points on the ground are not marked at the border with Croatia. All these border points define the state border of the Republic of Slovenia.
The national border register is the basic record of border posts. It contains: the number of points of the state border, the sector of the state border, the method of marking the points of the state border and the data on the marks and the coordinates of the points in the national coordinate system D48/GK and the coordinate system of the neighbouring country. In the records of the state border with Croatia, border points have only the number and coordinates D48/GK and D96/TM. The State border register is established on the basis of the Real Estate Recording Act — ZEN (UL RS Nos 47/2006, 65/2007 — Decision US, 106/2010 — ZDoh-2H, 47/2012 — ZUKD-1A, 79/2012 — Decision US and 55/2013 — ZUKD-1B).
Data on border posts that define the state border of the Republic of Slovenia are kept and maintained in the register of the state border of the Republic of Slovenia. The data serves as a graphical representation of the course of the state border and is linked to the register of spatial units and the land cadastre.
