Disaggregated Surface Soil Moisture by Radar Scatterometer [1 km, ASCAT/SAR]
Description
The disaggregated Surface Soil Moisture product derived from the H SAF ASCAT NRT SSM product is available over Europe and maps the soil moisture content in the surface layer (0-2 cm) at spatial sampling of 0.5 km. It is generated by disaggregating the large-scale soil moisture product (12.5 km sampling, 25 km resolution), to 0.5 km sampling using downscaling parameters derived from ENVISAT ASAR (C-band) backscatter data.
