High Latitude Sea Ice - DMSP
Description
The sea ice products have been developed to be derived from passive microwave, active microwave and optical sensors, using multi sensor methods with a Bayesian approach to combine different instruments and sensors. These products have been superseded by the North Hemisphere products that form, together with the South Hemisphere products, the Global Sea Ice coverage. They consist of Sea Ice Edge (closed ice/open ice/open water), Sea Ice Concentration (%) and Sea Ice Type (multi-year/first-year).
