Development of the Waste Prevention Programme 2017
Description
The report summarises the information and analyses used as the basis for the Austrian waste prevention programme in the Federal Waste Management Plan 2017. The objectives and measures of the 2017 Waste Prevention Programme are mainly based on a collection of current Austrian waste prevention initiatives and good practice initiatives from other EU Member States, an analysis of the status and impact of those measures implemented under the 2011 Waste Prevention Programme and an analysis of what measures are needed to address the challenges ahead. Prevention of building residues, waste prevention in companies and organisations, waste prevention in households, prevention of food waste and re-use.
