Energy input data and scenarios
Description
Building on the energy input data and scenarios for the monitoring mechanism 2013, the Federal Environment Agency calculated new energy and greenhouse gas emission scenarios up to 2030, which assume additional implementation of measures. These additional measures allow for decoupling economic growth (increase of 1.5 % per annum on average) and final energy consumption (which will decrease to 991 PJ by 2030). The share of renewables would increase by around 10 percentage points to 42.6 %.
