Herfindahl - Hirschman Index (HHI) per Grid Area

Description

Herfindahl - Hirschman Index (HHI) is a method used to determine the market competitiveness. Data is updated on the 8th the following month. HHI is calculated as the sum of the squared market share (large consumers are evaluated as energy consumed and small consumers are evaluated on the number of metering points) for any given grid area. A market with HHI on 10,000 is equal to true monopoly (non-competitive) meanwhile, a HHI under 2000 indicates a competitve market.
