The delivery of the vast majority of system benefits is ensured by various types of reserves. The reserves are purchased through agreements between Energinet.dk and a production or consumption-responsible player.
The agreements contain provisions to provide capacity for a fixed period. In DK2, there are two types of reserves, which are:
* FCR-N and FCR-D (Frequency Containment Reserves for Normal operation and disturbances).
* mFRR (Manual Frequency Restoration Reserves).
