Elspot Prices (To be discontinued – see description)

Description

Day ahead spotprices in Denmark (DK) and neighbouring countries. From February 1st, 2025, the Spot Price (DKK) is calculated based on the Spot Price (EUR) and the Euro exchange rate from Danmarks Nationalbank. It may therefore deviate from Danish spot prices seen elsewhere. From February 7th, 2025, the SYSTEM price is no longer available. **Transition to 15-minute MTU:** * As of 2025-05-08, the [Day-Ahead Prices](https://energidataservice.dk/tso-electricity/DayAheadPrices) dataset is available on Energi Data Service without data, allowing users to prepare for the upcoming transition. * The data delivery in the new dataset will begin on **2025-09-30** where prices for 2025-10-01 will be available. * On the same date, the current [Elspot Prices](https://www.energidataservice.dk/tso-electricity/Elspotprices) dataset will not be deleted but discontinued, meaning it will no longer be updated and will only retain historical hourly values. In Nord Pool Spot market players can buy and sell electricity for delivery the following day in their own area - Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark or Germany. The day-ahead prices indicate the balance between supply and demand.
