mFRR, manual Frequency Restoration Reserves, Capacity Market, Extra Auctions
Description
From end of January 2025 the mFRR capacity requirement will be determined daily through a process called dynamic dimensioning, based on forecasts. However, if these forecasts underestimate the need, an extra auction may sometimes be necessary. Energinet therefore has the capability to initiate an additional capacity mFRR auction if the regular auction results in insufficient mFRR reserves for the following day.
**Caution:** It is important to note that this extra auction only occurs occasionally and is not a daily event.
