Emission trends 1990-2013
Description
In the report “Emissionstrends 1990-2013” the Federal Environment Agency gives an overview of the anthropogenic emissions of air pollutants in Austria: • Dust — total floating dust, particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5) • ozone precursors — nitrogen oxides, volatile hydrocarbons without methane, carbon monoxide • acidifying and eutrophic air pollutants — sulphur dioxide, ammonia, nitrogen oxides • heavy metals — cadmium, mercury, lead • persistent organic pollutants (POPs) • greenhouse gases — carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, fluorinated gases trends and causes of Austrian emissions are analysed, comparing current data with national and internationally agreed environmental targets. The data is based on the Austrian Air Pollutant Inventory, which is prepared annually by the Federal Environment Agency.
