Ecologically Important Areas
Description
The data set shows the spatial distribution of areas classified as ecologically important areas in Slovenia, which were adopted by the Decree on Ecologically Important Areas (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, Nos 48/04, 33/13, 99/13 and 47/18). According to the Nature Conservation Act, an ecologically important site is an area of a habitat type, part of a habitat type or a larger ecosystem unit that contributes significantly to the conservation of biodiversity.
