HICP - annual data (average index and rate of change)

Description

The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) measures price changes of various consumer goods and services over time (inflation). This dataset comprises:  

  • the average index, which is the average of the monthly HICP indices in a calendar year, and  
  • the annual average rate of change, which is the average of the monthly consumer price indices over a calendar year compared to the average of the monthly consumer price indices over the previous calendar year
