Land measuring network groundwater level
Description
The objective of the Land Groundwater Service quantitatively is to collect long and largely complete time series of error-free measurement data at representative measuring points in anthropogenic areas with little influence and large-scale representative groundwater reserves in a timely manner. For this purpose, data on groundwater levels and swellings of all supra-regionally important aquifers are continuously recorded, processed and made available. The aquatic science bases thus created serve, among other things, government planning and monitoring activities, transmission to non-governmental bodies and information to the public. For this purpose, the Bavarian Water Management Administration operates, among other things, the Land measuring network Groundwater Level, which currently has a good 620 measuring points. The collected measurement data can be viewed and downloaded via the Wasserkundlichen Dienst Bayern (www.gkd.bayern.de).
