Areas important for the extraction of aggregates in Pirkanmaa Regional Plan 2040 with data from the POSKI study 2017

Description

The data covers the areas important for aggregate management (EOK) presented in the Pirkanmaa Regional Plan 2040 and the additional information on them that was produced in connection with the Pirkanmaa POSKI project (2012-2015). The spatial data set and the related classifications have been produced from the perspective of the preparation of the regional plan and with the related accuracy. The EOK areas in Pirkanmaa’s regional plan 2040 are areas classified as suitable for extracting aggregates. The terminology used in the suitability classification (applicable/unsuitable) is based on the terms applied nationally in POSKI projects. Due to the scale, the regional boundaries in the regional plan are slightly rounded/generalised in relation to the original evidence. A few areas suitable for initial admission have been removed from the plan during the planning process and changes have been made to the demarcation of a few areas. The methods used in the project are described in more detail in the reports and studies prepared in connection with the project. 1. Final report of the cheeks project The Pirkanmaa Regional Council received funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for the POSKI project by the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment of Pirkanmaa. In addition, the Pirkanmaa Regional Council, the Geological Survey of Finland, the Municipality of Kangasala, the Municipality of Lempäälä, the City of Nokia, the Municipality of Pirkkala, the City of Tampere and the City of Ylöjärvi participated in the funding of the project. Identification: An identifier issued on the basis of the classification of the area to distinguish between the elements. The first part of the identifier consists of the original number, and if the area is divided into subdivisions, the rest consists of the symbols. The letter “E” after the symbol means that the area has been recorded as unsuitable for taking rock aggregates (e.g. 157_E). The sub-areas may also be followed by an air-direction symbol if, for example, the area consists of two polygons (e.g. 44 east and west). With the help of the tag, the descriptions of the areas can also be found in the Nature and Landscape Maps report. Number: The number assigned to the territory of Pirkanmaa in the regional plan 2040 (same as the original number). All 9999 technical characteristics of areas classified as unsuitable (not included in the provincial plan) have the code (the number column cannot be left blank). Make: Symbol EO/k of the regions of Pirkanmaa county 2040, only for areas suitable for extraction of aggregates. Additional information: The results of nature and landscape surveys carried out in the terrain, the previously existing nature information of the area and any comments made by the ELY Centre’s expert on the site’s natural values. In addition, other possible reasons for inadmissibility or other additional information concerning the area have been recorded. Due to the limitation of the number of characters in the spatial data set (254 characters), some texts have had to be shortened slightly. However, efforts have been made to keep the substance the same as in the report on landscape and nature surveys. The reason you apply: Reason for inappropriateness; LMK = nature and landscape values, MKK = area removed in the process of coordinating the regional plan, Other reason = area removed for other reasons. Suitable: The suitability of the area for the extraction of rock aggregates; Suitable/not suitable for taking rock aggregates. Arsenoms: The column shows whether arsenic measurements (yes/no) have been carried out in the area concerned by the Geological Survey of Finland in the context of the POSKI project. If measurements have been made in the area, they have been carried out at three points. Therefore, the measurements do not cover the entire area. More detailed information on area-specific measurements can be found in the work report on rock rock material surveys in Pirkanmaa (GTK, 2014).
