Description
The settlement is valued in three classes: Very high value: - building structure (house plots, building lines, road and plot locks, bridges if necessary) is intact; - the historical buildings themselves have been well preserved; - the number of national monuments is relatively high here; - little new construction between or behind the original buildings. The protected city and village views fall into this category. High value: - building structure (house plots, building lines, road and plot locks, bridges if necessary) is intact; - the historical buildings themselves are a bit less cool; - the percentage of monuments is lower than in the 'very high value' category; - here and there the existing buildings have been replaced by new buildings. Reasonably high value: - building structure (house plots, building lines, road and plot locks, bridges if necessary) is intact; - the historical buildings are clearly less intact than in the above categories; - new construction has appeared in several places, mainly to replace the existing buildings. The cores where the building structure is no longer sufficiently intact (the percelering and building line have been affected, locks have been dampened, bridges demolished, new construction between and behind the original building disrupts the relationship with the hinterland) have not received any appreciation. Criteria used in this valuation are coolness, rarity and coherence between buildings themselves as well as between buildings and surroundings or hinterland.
