INSPIRE-WMS Soil / Soil erosion hazard BB

Description

The interoperable INSPIRE WMS is a display service that displays data in the annex schema ground (derived from the original dataset: It provides an overview of the spatial distribution of the potential soil erosion hazard as well as the soil erosion by wind and water on the agricultural land of Brandenburg. The WMS contains five layers. In the ‘wind erosion risk levels’ layer, the agricultural areas are classified in a spatial resolution of 2x2 metres according to their potential risk of wind erosion in accordance with the calculation rule DIN19706 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/1934215) and Funk et al. 2023 (https://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.aeolia.2023.100878). The layer ‘soil erosion (t/ha/a) water erosion (RxKxS)’ shows the potential soil erosion by water derived from the erosion factors R, K and S according to DIN19708 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/2676773) in a spatial resolution of 5x5 metres. The layer ‘soil erosion (t/ha/a) water erosion (RxKxSxL)’ shows the potential soil erosion by water derived from the erosion factors R, K, S and L according to DIN19708 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/2676773) in a spatial resolution of 5x5 metres. The potential risk of erosion corresponds to the risk to the land due to natural conditions, i.e. without taking into account agricultural management measures such as tillage, land cover and crop rotation. According to the INSPIRE data specification Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0), the contents of the ground map are INSPIRE-compliant. The WMS contains the following layers: SO.SoilLossWaterErosion (RxKxS), SO.RiskLevelsWaterErosion (RxKxS), SO.SoilLossWaterErosion (RxKxSxL), SO.RiskLevelsWaterErosion (RxKxSxL), SO.RiskLevelsWindErosion --- The compliant INSPIRE-WMS is a view service that delivers data in the annex schema Soil (derived from the original data set: Geomorphographic assessments Brandenburg). It provides an overview of the spatial distribution of the potential soil erosion risk as well as soil loss caused by wind and water on agricultural land in Brandenburg. The service contains five layers. In the layer ‘Risk levels wind erosion’ the agricultural areas are classified in a spatial resolution of 2x2 meters according to their potential wind erosion risk based on the methods DIN19706 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/1934215) and Funk et al. 2023 (https://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.aeolia.2023.100878). In the layer ‘Soil loss (t/ha/a) water erosion (RxKxS)’ the potential soil loss caused by water derived from the erosion factors R, K and S according to DIN19708 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/2676773) is presented in a spatial resolution of 5x5 meters. In the layer ‘Soil loss (t/ha/a) water erosion (RxKxSxL)’ the potential soil loss caused by water derived from the erosion factors R, K, S and L according to DIN19708 (https://dx.doi.org/10.31030/2676773) is presented in a spatial resolution of 5x5 meters. The potential soil erosion risk reflects the erosion of bare soil under natural environmetal conditions, i.e. without taking into account cultivation methods such as tillage, soil cover and crop rotation. The content of the soil map is compliant to the INSPIRE data specification for the annex theme Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0). The WMS includes the following layers: SO.SoilLossWaterErosion (RxKxS), SO.RiskLevelsWaterErosion (RxKxS), SO.SoilLossWaterErosion (RxKxSxL), SO.RiskLevelsWaterErosion (RxKxSxL), SO.RiskLevelsWindErosion
