Epidemiological Surveillance of COVID-19 Related Deaths

Description

COVID-19 is een meldingsplichtige ziekte, en zowel nieuwe gevallen als sterfgevallen moeten aan de federale overheidsdiensten voor volksgezondheid gemeld worden. Alle COVID-19 gerelateerde sterfgevallen in België worden geregistreerd volgens de overlijdensdatum en de plaats van overlijden (ziekenhuis, woon- en verzorgingstehuis, andere residentiële instellingen, thuis, enz.). Sterfgevallen worden via verschillende surveillancenetwerken aan Sciensano doorgegeven. Sciensano verzamelt en harmoniseert al deze gegevens op nationaal niveau en zorgt voor validatie, analyse en publicatie. Deze gegevens worden dagelijks beschikbaar gesteld in de open data op het interactieve dashboard.
