ZEB Condition Classes Hamburg

Description

The data set contains the road condition classes of all Hamburg roads, which have been used and evaluated as part of the regular state recording and assessment (ZEB) since 2014. The main roads (HVS) and district roads with overall urban significance (BSGB) have been recorded every two years since 2014. In 2016, all other district roads were initially recorded only once. The length of the evaluation sections is 20m on HVS and BSGB and 10m on the other district roads. Gaps in the network occur when a route could not be travelled (e.g. due to construction work). Since the evaluation of the journeys takes a certain time, the results are always published 1-2 years later. During the evaluation, the measured values of flatness detected during the recording by a special vehicle and the state values determined by evaluation at VDU workstations for the substance characteristics cracks and patches are determined according to a standardized procedure. These grades range from 1 to 5 on the roads, with the following state classes: - 1.0 to 1.49 -> Underlying after manufacture, - 1,5 to 3,49 -> no special observation needs, - 3.5 (warning value) to 4.49 -> need for observation, if necessary for action, - 4.5 (threshold value) to 5.0 -> individual test required, need for action indicated For the overall consideration of the state, the individual state values are combined into two partial values, the use value and substance value, and into a total value: The use value is a user-oriented value and describes the drivability (quality of use, flatness) and road safety of the roadway. The substance value (e.g. cracking) stands for the existing quality of the structural substance. The total value is derived from the maximum use or substance value.
