DHM/Extreme Rain (BlueSpot)
Description
DHM/Bluespot_extreme rain shows how much rain must fall in order for a given lavage (BlueSpot) to be filled with water and thus flooded. The calculation assumes a uniform distribution of rain in the catchment area, and the filling of each cell includes overflows of rainwater from upstream lows. The unit is given in meters. The map can be used for flood risk screening in the event of extreme rainfall. Please note that the dataset does not contain information about modeled water depth — stronger coloring therefore indicates that more rainfall is needed before a given area is expected to flood.
